1. Who We Are

Cash for Vintage is a small family business with years of experience in the vintage trade. We started with a focus on vintage cameras and watches, and are now proud to offer a trusted, secure service that helps individuals across the UK sell a wide range of vintage and unwanted items — quickly and easily.

2. Items We Accept

We buy a variety of vintage and pre-owned items including:

  • Gold and silver (including scrap or broken pieces)

  • Fine and costume jewellery

  • Watches (working or not)

  • Digital and analog cameras (including lenses)

  • Binoculars

  • Writing instruments (e.g., fountain pens)

  • Collectible coins and more

3. Items We Don’t Accept

There are certain items we cannot accept, including:

  • Glass, porcelain, ceramics

  • Clothing, shoes, accessories

  • Books, comics, and magazines

  • Electrical goods or modern gadgets

  • DVDs, CDs, VHS, cassettes

  • Firearms, knives, weapons or replicas

  • Furniture or bulky household items

  • Vinyl records

  • Biro pens and mass-produced plastic items

  • Cultural artefacts or restricted items

  • Taxidermy, fur, and animal-based products

If in doubt, feel free to ask before sending anything.

4. Sending Your Items

We offer a free, fully insured postal service. You can:

  • Use our pre-paid label and drop your parcel at any Post Office, or

  • Request a free home collection from your door

Please pack your items securely in a sturdy box. You are responsible for ensuring the parcel reflects the correct contents and is safely packaged.

5. Loss or Damage in Transit

All parcels are covered by our insured Royal Mail service. In the unlikely event of loss or damage, we will assist in filing a claim on your behalf. To support this, we recommend taking photos of your parcel and its contents before posting.

6. Valuation and Offers

  • Once we receive your parcel, our team will inspect and appraise your items within 3–5 working days.

  • We’ll contact you with a no-obligation offer for everything included.

  • If you accept, we’ll pay you via bank transfer.

  • If you decline, we’ll return your items free of charge using tracked, insured delivery.

7. Ownership and Legality

By sending items to us, you confirm that:

  • You legally own the items and are authorised to sell them

  • The items are not stolen, counterfeit, or subject to any dispute

  • You are 18 years of age or older

8. Returns

If you choose not to accept our offer, your items will be returned at no cost to you using insured delivery. You’ll receive tracking info once your parcel is on its way back.

9. Payment

If you accept our offer:

  • Payment will be made by bank transfer

  • Funds typically arrive within 24 hours, though this may vary depending on your bank

  • You’ll be notified once your payment has been sent

10. Right to Refuse Items

We reserve the right to refuse, return, or responsibly dispose of items that:

  • Are not included in our buying categories

  • Are counterfeit, restricted, unsafe, or damaged beyond resale

  • Arrive without prior communication or in unsuitable packaging

11. Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Your personal information will only be used to process your transaction and will be handled securely, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
